- I took the original static rose and made it rotate by storing points in a voxel structure, and then rotating and projecting on the screen. I'm generating points and rotating at the same time (interleaved) so this way there is no need to wait until the rose if fully generated to see something on screen. I compacted it down to 1011 bytes, and then used the 13 bytes left for some speed optimizations. It is well speed optimized, however, it will run at full framerate only in Chrome (or maybe in Firefox too) with a very good computer. I tried it in a desktop core i7, and it is really fast, in a core i5 mobile, and not as fast but realtime, and something in the range of 5-10 frames per second in a low end netbook. In Opera it is at least at half the speed, and in Safari and IE9 I get the worse results of all... It looks like a great JS speed test to me, as it is doing a lot of things: access/updates to arrays and objects, accessing/writing normal arrays and typed arrays and a lot of basic math involved.
